| | Closed Mainstreet office. < on 11/28/2007 2:02 AM >
| | | Got an opportunity to wander through an old main street building the other evening. We got in shortly before sundown. It looked like some type of resto work had been started, but that phase had long since past and water damage is pretty bad is some parts. Someone had strung up caution tape at one point in time.
I forgot my lens shade, so I got some flare on a couple of pics.
The front part of the building had been a lawyer's office. Cool glass lettering. I blurred the name out. Don't want to get sued.
The hallways here lead back into utter darkness, as the only windows are on the front of the building.
The bottom floor is an active store, so the only street level entrance is down this staircase.
The water damage has made much of the top floor questionable. This on the second floor and you can see how rotten the ceiling has become.
There are old light sockets that hand down everywhere.
Some of the rooms have crap piled up in them, like this trunk.
One of the several random dead birds laying around.
It was night before we got out of there. The place has a strange vibe to it after nightfall.
All photos are with the ambient light, except for the ones I used a maglight to illuminate something - like the bird and trunk.

| | | Wow, what an awesome location!! Nice pictures, too! I love the one of the door that says Lawyer Private... it looks like something right out of a Dick Tracy comic. I expect to see some red head in high heels and a skin tight dress to walk out after doing business with a lawyer about her soon to be ex husband or something, then the saxophone music starts playing in the background... Very nice indeed!

| | | That building appears to have been a bank. Notice the pic looking out the windows one of the walls is offset. That was common on bank buildings in the early part of the 20th century.

| | | Very nice find and some cool shots! Have to agree about the glass door, wouldn't mind salvaging that!

| | | Great group! Just enough stuff left behind and not vandalized.
I'm a blatant waste of time and resources. |

| | | Freaking sweet! For some reason, they mind me of the old offices from dick tracy comics.
