| | | I shot with a canon rebel xti with the kit lens & i used a little photoshop. lets here them critiques, rip these pictures apart, i wanna improve. :]
ONE
TWO
THREE
I wasn't sure between two and three was a better choice. I'm leaning towards two but I figured I'd put both on anyway.

| | | I don't think there's any way you could compose number one to make it NOT crooked, though. Either the horizontal will be straight and the vertical crooked or vice versa. Maybe it's my eyes, but all three of these pictures are appearing pretty soft in terms of focus. I'm guessing that's a product of the kit lens at F3.5. If you have a tripod, try a smaller aperture with a longer exposure. Images tend to be a bit sharper at apertures smaller than F8 or so. Good luck!

| | | First off, don't take this the wrong way, this is only my take. Who am I? someone with no training, no credentials, just a casual observer. That being said, personally, I find the socket and pipe shots to be about as interesting as the wheel chair shots, overplayed. As for the other two photos, they both feel a bit soft. I find number three to be the most interesting. There's a lot more going on in number three. There's more character to the photo, in my opinion, when you can see that the light source is the window slightly above it. The window also adds more depth to the shot, and I'm a sucker for depth. The pipework against the wall is also interesting in #3, the photo just has a lot to look at and in this instance, I really feel that it works. Good shots. Keep it up!

| | | it's funny i thought everyone would say the blown out window on three would be too distracting. thats why i thought two was better

Yeah, get closer to the wall on your right so you're facing the shelf almost head-on, and make sure your camera is level so the shelf isn't crooked. $0.02

| | | I have to agree with everyone about #3. This is your strongest of the three. I like the texture and the soft lighting in all, but I think that your composition needs some work to make your stuff more interesting. As just a thought, maybe you could try decreasing some of the negative space. I really like your direction though!

| | | 1. Pipes + wall + wonky angles = mundane (and not in the good sense) 2. Nice colours and mood, but the shadows are a bit too mucky. There's detail in there. Try pulling a bit more out. 3. The strongest of the three, but the outlet and purple fringing at the top are kind of distracting. If it was me I'd crop that top area out since it doesn't add anything to the scene.

| | | first off, thankyouthankyouthankyou for not posting 98712489734 photos. this many makes crit easier. 1. i'd rather have the pipes be straight and the paint line be crooked. there's also nothing terribly interesting about this picture. it's a pipe on a wall. 2. if you adjusted the contrast in PS, turn it back. there's so much light/dark difference that it's distracting. i see that you're trying to work with the lighting, though, and that's good. 3. best of the set. there's enough in the frame to keep me interested, but two steps to the right would've been good.

it is better and no your not just hopeless...my one problem with that compared to the other one is that you lose a lot of depth
