| | | My first submission here on the critique forum. Tell me how to improve this shot, how you would process it different. Thanks ahead of time.

| | | It is a fucking big motherfucker. Ran into a scrapper on the way out, we heard him for probably 10 minutes before he heard us. Could have clubbed his ass 10 times when he came in the door, so oblivious. We scared the shit out of him when we came out of the shadows behind him. He was probably 25-28 years old. cool enough dude. The place is huge, we climbed up onto the catwalk as well as the roof. Burned one in the boxcar by the old tracks, all in all a great time. Totally empty and thrashed. tagged harder than anything I've ever seen but hey, there's a bit of beauty everywhere. Another location under my belt right? | | | Good shot, but it seems TOO balanced for me. I don't know how to get around this since I like that you have the whole reflection of the tanks. The sky and tanks contrast is great. Could you take it from a lower angle? Maybe wait till the sun is lower? Also, the rectangular object in left foreground is burned and pulling focus from the tanks. Maybe dodge it down or wait for the sun to change...

| | | The only suggestion I could make would have been to move the tanks a little further to the left in the shot to maybe show some more of the scenery, or where the light is coming from. PS: Is that a flooded roof?

| | | very nice shot...i kinda wish the tanks were more centered or pushed to the left a bit. but otherwise a great shot with very nice reflection in the foreground water.

| | | For my tastes, I'd like it backed off just a bit, and put off-centered one way or another. Perhaps a slightly lower angle as well. Also, the fact that you seem to have intentionally tried to get all of the reflection in, but clipped one of them just a tiny bit sort of bugs me. All in all though, I still think it's a great shot. Good control of the shadow and highlight details. Well exposed and good composition. Interesting subject matter. I also like the balance of the foreground and background, this image has several layers to it and creates great depth and a sense of compositional motion. Good Job!

| | | I wanted to back up, but as it was, I was hanging on to a rusty rail standing ankle deep in a rotted out lake of a ceiling. I was backed up as far as possible. As for a lower angle, that's a clever suggestion. I'll definitely give it a try next time. Sometimes my stature helps, and sometimes it hinders. Thanks for the feedback folks. (I wish the sun wasn't glaring off that thing in the roof so bad as well. I would have waited for a better shot but we kept hearing someone clanging through the building. later we found out it was just a scrapper.)

| | | Sick shot I agree that a slightly lower angle might of been better though. Looking forward to seeing your retakes.
