"I don't want to grow up, I'm a Toys' R Us kid, there's a million toys at Toys 'R Us that I can play with! More bikes, more trains, more video games, it's the biggest toy store there is! I don't want to grow, because then if I did, I wouldn't be a Toys 'R Us kid!"

Kids need to be kids. It's the only chance they've got to survive in this world. A life without simple pleasures is doomed to be a miserable one. Sometimes simple pleasures get you dirty...

"The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life." - T.R.

Thanks I think being called a good mom, a cool mom or anything of the sort is the greatest compliment anyone can give me.

That headband is actually one of her many crowns. Kylie is a princess. She even told me she has changed her name from Kylie to Princess Kool-Aid. She wears a crown wherever she goes. (This isn't something I did to her, it's something she wants to do... thanks alot, Disney!)

Example: Almost every picture I have of her, she is wearing a crown.

You have a beautiful daughter. Just think how much fun it must be for her to explore... at that age everything is so new and magical... My old man took me and my brother into abandoned houses and stuff when we were little kids... that kind of stuff stays with you for a lifetime. Thats some serious quality time, enjoy!

Cool thing is, in a short time, you will have a partner to explore with whenever you want to go!

That's cool. Mine just pointed out the old boot factory last week and said there were tunnels under there....... She'd be about half right. I don't even take her into buildings for fear she might get the wrong idea and think any building is ok. Tunnels and missile silo's being different though. She's still too little to master her rope skills yet, but isn't afraid and thinks that shit kicks ass. That poor girl needs better role models than her old man and Max Action.

On the way to find Fountain Cave, yes it's the one on the Pig's Eye can. A very famous cave that got burried under a road in 1960. Used to be the home of Pierre Pig's Eye Parrant, the bootlegger that sold his brew to the soldiers at Ft. Snelling. Little shit was the only one to walk this long section standing straight up.

The old sandstone drain that intersected the cave at two points almost 50 years ago. Greaser and Max's butt as he checks the overbreakage for signs of Fountain. Farther on there was a section where we got stuck briefly and turdlette was able to crouch walk through without slowing down.

We had plans to infiltrate some cool site I forget now which one but it was cool I remember that.

The plan was we were going to have Raticus shove Rat Jr through a second floor window so he could run around and unlock the front door from the inside for us.

Sadly it fell through,

the plan that is, not Rat Jr...

Rat Jr is glad he didn't fall through too. He's been exploring with me for a few years now. He went with me and Violentrapture, and a trip with NV. He's getting so big now though that he's heavy to toss up to those 2nd floor windows. I may have to figure out how to sling him from the ankles.

There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part; you can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop...

My kids first UE was the old castle ruins at Turner Falls-now they're all hooked. They love seeing old buildings. My daughter cried once about all the stuff one person left behind-she thought everything must get lonely. I told her that's why there were people like us, so we could remember. I can't wait for my baby to grow up and join his 3 older leaders!

I am the shadow at your side......

I'm a little late to this post, but I think it's awesome! Happiedaze, you have the most adorable little "Princess" LOVE the pictures, great place! I am glad to hear that some parents actually have open minds when it comes to thier kids. My mother was very conservative and never allowed us to do much (alot like the mom on the playground). Made for a VERY BORING childhood (unless we went with dad!) He's an explorer/photographer of sorts.

Your kids are learing history, and they are seeing fun, new and exciting things. They are learing how to keep an open mind and to appreciate our past, our history. They are showing interest and using thier imaginations for something more than just video games. The worst thing you could do is rob your kids of thier imaginations (in my opinion) At least you take them with you and teach them instead of asking Panasonic, Sony or Playstation to babysit...Keep up the good work moms & dads!

PS - Anyone willing to adopt a 26 yr old? haha! I'm potty trained and can tie my own shoes (velcro is real easy) I will even mow the yard.
