I've lurked about here for over a year but, by way of a proper hello, here are some pics from a recent explore.
Severalls is a large disused psychiatric hospital about 50 miles from London UK. It's very popular with UK explorers as it is huge and full of all sorts photo opportunities!

I'm a bit new to UE, but plan to go back to Severalls (with some friends) and take more pics and see the place properly - I barely skimmed the surface on this visit.

It closed on the 20th March 1997! As for the vandalism there is loads admin is partly burnt, the Superintendents home and the main hall torched.... They had to flatten the main hall as it was so structurally unstable

Thank you. The yellow bars are not actually pipes but seem to have been some kind of enclosure around a (long gone) public telephone. Very strange tho'

| | | | yeah these "pipes" were fascinating me too...I thought it was some kind of random thing you are supposed to hold on to when you are about to fall and lucky enough to be at that very spot of the building. ;)
But there's two different kinds. There's bad asbestos, and there's nice asbestos. Anyway, it grows on you. |
