The only ones IMO that are compositionally lacking are 1, 2, 3 and maybe 6.

The rest look really nice, and I can't decide which is my fav between 4 and 9.
Nice work.

Ive been working on my composition.
But, i am a huge fan of abstract angles.
everything doesn't have to be asymmetrical for me.
thanks for the comments...

I swear we had those sink cabinets in #1 when I was a little kid. The rust on them is great

I really like the last photo. How long of an exposure?

I become capability. I become the horror. What we know we can become only in our heart of darkness. It's my gift. It's my curse.

To say you "seriously need to work on your composition" is quite an over statement. Getting the whole window in the frame (if possible) in number 1 would have made it a bit better and in number 2, getting a better view of the chairs would've helped it since your eyes are not immediately drawn to the chairs and judging by the photos title, you wanted the chairs to be the main subject. The composition on the rest of these are fine though, 8 is a fantastic shot and 9 is very, very cool.

Good composition doesn't necessarily mean asymmetrical. You can still have awkward and abstract angles with good composition. Unfortunately, yours don't - I don't think you have a natural eye.

You do need to work on your composition a bit. Asymmetrical pictures tend to be boring as hell. So just because your pictures are not asymmetrical does not mean they have good composition. Just keep shooting, everything will come in time.

I would also work on exposure times as well. Some of them the lighting seems to be off just ever so slightly, 1 mainly. Either that or you are over processing them. Try to have a bit higher contrast in some of them, like 2, 5 and 8

thanks for the tips.
I do not edit my photos.
The most i would ever do is fix brightness/contrast or crop them a bit.
I did try to bump the contrast in 8, but it looked wrong so i left it as it was.

1-3 all need to be reconsidered. The composition is boring, but at least you exposed them decently.

4 is pretty decently composed, but I would crop out that bar at the top of the frame. Also, your jpeg compression settings may be out of wack...4 looks toasted.

5 is pretty good, but I see some slight barrel distortion present, and it could be improved by straightening.

6 is alright, but the pews in the lower left corner are distracting and the highlights are blown out; you could fix that with a level adjustment.

7 is great!

8 is really good, but everyone has that shot.

9 is totally killer.

Really not too bad, its just the first few that could've been tossed out, the rest could be salvaged in post.

Quit hatin' guys.

#4 is very good, and I am going to be really cheesy and name off a genre but it has sort of a "steampunk" look to it which is something I have always loved. The bar at the top actually makes it look nicer because it encourages a kind of enclosed/claustrophobic feeling which gels pretty well with intimidating looking, rusty machinery IMHO.

Sorry i agree with stoop, the only one that works and looks like it was taken properly is number 8.

Also these photos should never be posted together, as none of them flow nicely into each other.

In #6 your composition would improve greatly if you don't have that pillar centered. Oh and angle shots usually don't create good composition.

i like 5 & 2.

5...wish the back rooms weren't so blown out.
2...wish there were more of the front chairs in the picture and less of the room.

bitches get stitches.
