I took these shots a few days ago around my school and then messed with the colors and textures in a photo editing program. I know nothing about artistic photography, so bare with me ;)
Tell me what you think, please!

This is beautiful.
This is art.

the pics are alright but you are being heavy-handed with the editing software effects. for myself, i find a more subtle approach goes a long way in photography editing, as doing too much with colour and texture tweaking can clobber the viewer over the head with "look at me! i can use photoshop defaults!!"

i think the photos that appear more natural in your collection speak more to me than the manipulated ones.

keep up with the photography and software editing, and find a comfortable middle ground.

after seeing a few of your originals i have some advice.

you need to find a focal point. find an interesting detail in the room and bring your focus to that...it could be something as simple as a stack of coloured chairs. find something dynamic and eyecatching.

a few of your shots are blurry as well, so use a tripod for low lighting areas.

its all practice and just shooting pictures...take your time when you snap your shots...move your camera around while focusing and find interesting angles and compositions for your subjects.

that's all for now.

Yeah, I have been thinking about a tripod. My camera is just a cheap $100 kodak one though so I don't know if they make tripods for those.
