Nothing ever changes here in UER - Too many assholes shooting everyone down with negative comments.

Don’t listen to them Jake. Your work's all good. When people don't have talent of their own, or they're just plain IMMATURE, they criticize others to make themselves feel important.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

You've missed the point of the photography CRITIQUES board slightly, haven't you?

Chris...

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

There are criticisms, and there are smart-ass/insulting comments. We don't need the latter here - that is unless you prefer UER to be nothing more than a place where immature users can feel important by posting insults to others.

Go back and read some of the posts, and if you condon this type of activity and still think that this is the point of the Photography Critiques Board, then I don't have any suggestions for you. I would've expected better from you by defending The Drunken Cat, not attack someone who defended him - but then again, it's a different world now, I guess, where values and respect of others no longer have any meaning.

Thanks for posting the very DEFINITION of what the Photo Critqiques board is all about. The 'insults' as you class them will pretty much be in line with the standard of photography you are posting.

Post some lame pics and prepare to get torn apart - it's really, really simple. If you don't believe me, feel free to study the past threads on this section of the forum going back to when Jesus was a boy.

I don't like it much more than you do, but it's the way it is and good luck changing it funboy!

Happy to hear it! So you can just go right ahead and not post in this thread any longer.

Yes, cheese burgers were only a penny in those days - and you could leave your door unlocked and your dog with the keys in the ignition.

What the dick are you rattling on about? Have a LOOK at the FORUM you are ON for longer than Six Months and then... FIT IN.

Criminey, if UER offends your delicate sensibilities I hope you never visit any other 'websites' on the 'internet'.

I really hope you aren't calling my pictures lame... I mean, the first ones weren't very impressive, but at least the ones I posted in the latter were a bit better...

Woah? So now you're outright calling my pictures lame?! Yes, the first ones weren't very impressive, but at least the one I posted in the latter was a bit better... Let's see some of your HDR's buddy!

Actually no, I wasn't calling any of your pictures lame - not in the slightest; I was simply relating the rule of thumb that goes around this part of the forum.

If you don't expect to get torn apart, it's simply because you haven't been around long enough to really know what this section is and does.

In fact, reviewing the last posts? You got off pretty lightly.

As for some HDRs of mine, well none are going to win any prizes for 'best use of HDR 2007':

Notice how none of them look anything like yours, although in the beginning when I first started dicking around with HDR mine were actually worse.

As I said before, you will improve. Good luck!

For the record, there was really only one insulting comment. Most people here (including myself in my own special way) gave valid critiques and suggestions.
