| | | I like all three of these shots. 1. I think this shot could have been a vertical shot, I think you wanted to get a fair amount of that pole in the shot but I think horizontal would have been better. 2. This is a cool angle, but it feels just a little bit steep. I like the color in it but I feel a bit disoriented by it. 3. By far my favorite, I love exterior shots and this one is one of the best I've seen recently, nice work.

| | | Three very impressive shots. I agree that 1 would be more striking if you cropped it so the ceiling wasn't visible. It makes the light stronger.

| | | Very nice shots... great tones, especially in the first shot. 1 - I disagree with the other replies. The vertical format really accentuates the beam of light. The wide angle catching the ceiling allows us to have some interesting geometry, and provides a better cap to the image. It doesn't feel truncated, and I like the aspect ratio. 2 - I'd try to push the saturation a bit more on this one... the rust feels a little muted. Maybe intentionally oversharpening it would help? I'd also like to see this rotated 45 degrees clockwise so the central axis is vertical, and the rooflines are all on diagonals leading down. That would allow our eyes to follow the spire to the top of the image, down the sides through the sky, along the diagonals, then back to the spire. Right now, my eye gets caught on the left side where the roof hits the edge of the image. Despite that, a very good composition. 3 - I'd recommend cropping an inch off the bottom, to just below what looks like a generator. There is a little too much weight at the bottom, in my opinion. Out of curiosity, what are you shooting on? In particular, what type of post processing went into the first image? Thanks, - Kel

Kelwyn, I shot with my Canon300D and lens Sigma 10-20mm. For post-processing, I shot in RAW, so done some white balance adjustment and adjustment of luminosity/contrast. And for the first one, i only used SmartSharpen in PhotoshopCS2. The first was horizontal format first, but I've cropped it to become vertical, I think it is much more interesting. By the way, thanks for the very constructive remarks.
