to clarify: the pictures are broken up in sections, usually by rectangles. it gives my eye sections to look at, and doesnt come across as cluttered or confusing. plenty of vertical and horizontal lines.
the first one might be my favorite of the bunch. its got all my favorite elements. contrast, texture, and repeated shapes (rectangles) in the door and cabinets.
i think what makes #2 easy to look at is the fact that the wall is broken up in vertical segments. did the lines really tilt like that though, or were you just not even with the wall?
#3 is a good composition, but could be a little better if the window werent blown out. for some reason, i find i like it better if i block out the left half with my hand.
in #4 i like that you framed that far window through the open doorway, although it is a bit blown out.
#5 is my other favorite. good exposure, framed well, and i like that you took the picture straight at the wall instead of trying an angle. that doorway was a great candidate for a picture.
that said, i havent been on here in forever and its crazy how much better you've gotten. i could hang some of these on my wall. keep it up.

The blueish chip of paint hanging down is awesome and i love that the cover for the plugs in not perfectly centered.

| | | | hahaha thanks for the kind words. i cant believe you guys think i have improved so much. i mean ive been trying my hardest to improve my photography and im not gonna lie sometimes i let the critiquing on this forum get to me. trust me im really thankful you guys ribbed me in the past, as corny as it sounds it really did help. its nice to finally feel like ive accomplished somewhat of a milestone ;) (my first kind of successful post).
but yes those are holes in the ground :o
i was kind of scared to go into/around that room. the place really was pretty rickety. not gonna lie it felt like the floor was caving in a little in some places. luckily im pretty light (about 140lbs) so i got over it.
but please please keep the comments/critiques coming. honestly i credit whatever success i had (even if its something small) to the members on this forum.

i think the reason why my pictures turned out better than usual also has to do with the fact that i stoped using my lcd monitor for image editing and im using an older (but properly calibrated) crt.
think that helps a lot too?
