I saw the first and second one and the only part that really made me cringe was when that chick sticks her hand in that glass box with the razorblades and can't pull it back out. Otherwise I felt the whole concept was silly and neither seemed overly creepy or gory to me.

| | | Jigsaw isn't shit when it comes to creepy villains. You ever see the episodes of Dinosaurs (you know, the full-costumed themed kid's show?) where they open the fridge and theres little furry balls that screech inside. That's scary. The Mothman is scary. The flatwoods monster is scary. Andrei Chikalito is scary. The movie Abominable is scary. Ernest scared straight is scary. Ultimate Warrior is scary. Jigsaw ranks last in being "demented" I think.
Dr. Demento ranks first. [last edit 8/6/2007 7:30 PM by saturdayskids - edited 1 times]

It's not that the movie itself is scary though. I watched it again last week. Not scary, BUT Lecter is definitely scary. His persona.. Just wicked creepy..

point taken. But with Hannibal it for food & enjoyment .It's not a life changing experience .With Jigsaw he just want's to play a game live of die it's your choice. How many killer's give you the option to decide if your life is worth it.

My god. It's never going to end, is it? Decades down the road people will be watching Saw XLVII, Saw vs The Hills Have Eyes and all cinema will have degraded into a blood-stained, sadistic cheesefest. Please, for the love of entertainment, stop the sequels.
I would kill you for a snack right now. I mean, seriously. I would end you for a cookie. |

| | | Sorry to be so on-topic, but thought it worth mentioning that with movies, the exterior building shots are very rarely from the same place as the interior shots. Which in the case of Saw was a built interior set, because that's the cheaper and safer way to film a craptastic, sequentially worse with every installment, omigod-i-can't-believe-it's-even-dumber-than-haloween-4, self-parodying, so-called horror movie. Coming 2010: Rob Zombie directs Saw 1: The Remake.

| | | hmm there is a movie studio thats east of carlaw on eastern.. I know how to get in unnoticed by the security but it takes a little stealth..
they filmed the hills have eyes there < a few scenes> I've been in there tons of times.. its the same company that did Zena: Warrior Princess but the Toronto studios.. the Zena and Hercules show was actually filmed in B.C. somewhere.. still they make shows and movies out of there..
I will defeat that which was once untouchable only so that I may now move on |
