As I wander...

As I wander... I find all kinds of interesting things. On the other side of a field of flowers -

there lies what's left of a small homestead.

On an old farm - a gas pump, that according to the sign on the side, once contained lead.

And one of the more interesting things I've found lately is a bank built in 1912 with trees growing inside. (Sorry again Allva, this second bank visit was a spur-of-the-moment trip)

I'll make it to that place again before the summer's up...Colors must be beautiful right about now...

I love the second last one...#2 is also sweet, so surreal, but I'm forced to ask about the ghosted lines in the last two windows, looks like maybe a bit of editing remnants? (I'm hardly attacking you, I've long been a proponent of "cleaning up" images, I'm just pointing it out just in case you didn't notice it and wanted to "fix" it to make an even better photo).

Great work though.

thank you.

Yes, I did see the lines in the windows, they are from the chicken-wire attached to the posts (dark vertical lines) just behind the building. I generally try to leave everything as is, as much as possible, unless it looks really odd. The wire didn't bother me so there it is for all the world to see!

I bet especially now with the rain lately. Even when I was there at the end of May, the brush was so grown up that it almost totally hid the bank.
