| | | | | A Little Love Shack < on 7/15/2007 3:39 AM >
| | | Yesterday I found a tiny one-room shack that at one time was where some redneck viewed all of his sports programs. Inside is a sign (photo is too blurry to post) that says, "The Sportsman's Den."
Ah, the irony of the outside/inside.
This might keep a toddler out.
Damn the resizing... there are ants on that plant in case you can't see them!
Frijoles rojos! Allens Canning Company, Alma, AR - Spinach Capital of the World
Frames for cribs, perhaps?
A dream that fell short of becoming one man's reality... became this man's treasure.

I was there in the spring for a night or two and saw lots of things to explore. Just didn't know how close you were to that area.

I haven't had a chance to make it out there, although my mom says it's a pretty rough town. Did you find some cool spots? UE/RE isn't entirely new to me. I've only known about it for a couple of weeks now, but I'm already hooked. When I was younger and living in a more rural area, I recall going out in the wilderness with friends and building forts and such. We would stumble upon abandoned houses, wells, and rock formations. I called it "exploring" and I didn't know it then, but I was onto something big. I'm just happy to say that part of my childhood remains a big part in my life today. I love exploring!

| | | I looked around some in Pine Bluff as much as I could between other things we were doing there. There were several places that I did see that I wouldn't have ventured into alone, and I would say your mom is right, the town overall is probably a little on the rough side. There are some things to explore there, and I would love to have done more, but without someone along, there was no way. I did explore an old power plant (in very bad shape) and an old pipe casting factory.

You know? I thought the same thing. It's a terrible title for a subject. That's something I'll have to work on specifically... more interesting subject titles. Anyone who wants to shoot advice my way, feel free!

I agree with you. Maybe he smoked the meats and sold them while watching Razorback games? Sportsman's Den or not, I'm basking in this irony.
