Is that San Antonio by any chance?

Nope...it's on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay.

They covered Parkdale with plastic wrap to keep the asbestos fresh.

Oh,
And I got one for Rat and the train guys. I don't know what is is but some DART-strocity in front of Sons Of Herman. Has anybody been down Scyene Road lately? DART's out of control.

Barry, that is a tamping machine. Those things are usually operated by Harsco, which I think this one is, and they contract with the railroads to drive along and shake the shit out of the ballast (rock) and ties to keep it settled and tight.

Yup ballast tamper.

Saw a similar job today. This actually lays the ballast down. It was heading south towards Houston in anticipation of the storms.

Crappy washed out shots but you get the idea.

OK,
I posted this photo a couple years ago but still don't know what the story is. I found it in a little cemetery hanging from a tree about head height. I know it's some Santeria/ Voodoo stuff but can anyone read/translate the writing? I have a hard enough time when it's printed, much less cursive.

Is that even English? Almost looks Spanish.

It is Spanish but I can't even make out the individual words to translate.

Not a honeysuckle, at least not the kind you pinch the bottom off of and suckle the honey from.

The flowers always attract ants (not fire ants, but some sort of bigger, sweet-loving ant). So the kids named them "ant flowers". Not sure if that helps, though.
