quite often

theyre all over the place just hang out on any dirt road near the river and theyll find you and check you out its amazing they just show up from out of nowhere especially around El Polvo Crossing and the dry washes north of Presidio

I was hoping to get some shots of "el mojados" coming across but all we saw were their barefooted tracks

Really great pics. I have a hard time picking a favorite from those. All of them look like something you'd see right out of a history book. Good stuff.

Beautiful as always man. I have fun dancing with the BP every time I'm near the border. Couldnt' be the long hair and beard?

Thanks for the look!

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

edit: my apologies you are correct that is in Reford, I called it El Polvo Crossing since theres a highway sign pointing that way

how'd you guess that???

the ruin with the old chairs is edit: just north of Redford I believe

yeah and Im all respectable and harmless looking too go figure

I thought about you and wondered if you had ever been any of these places. We had a guy on here that moved to Terlingua but hes not active here anymore and I lost his e-mail. Theres a ton of stff I didnt even get to on this trip Im going back when its cooler I just about died going up some of those teeny weeny mountains in 98 degrees and humid

the picture I posted isnt the ones I danced with I talked to two different patrols actually this guy was all by himself the other was a two man patrol I think they got cameras or satllites or something lookin at ya down there its too coincidental for them to show up where I was like that, or maybe theyre just dilligently patrolling but the guys that questioned me were hiding I think, Im not even sure where they came from and I didnt snap their pic cause they were on me in about 5 seconds I just put manos arribe and smiled real big. they were real polite and professional

the one I talled to by himself (pictured) was looking for tracks along that dirt road, he was actually a real nice guy and I talked to him for some time and when I left applauded his efforts! these guys have a kickass job but its rather thanksless if you ask me

too bad about the two officers that shot teh dope smuggler in the back getting hard time and all

if they'd just waited til he turned around and then capped him in the front no problemo si?

ha just kidding!

About time UER gets some spice!
Cool town and back drop, wow!
I keep waiting for Eli Wallach, Lee Van Cleef, Gian Maria Volontè or Eastwood to appear in one of your frames.
