Down a long long road

That leads you into the jungle

hidden from almost everyone

are some forgotten bunkers

and deeper into the jungle more bunkers

guarded by wicked spiders

is an abandoned train station

and the jungle wants it back

the only thing keeping it out are windows

broken ones at that

and heavy steel doors that no man can penetrate.

Only the jungle.

Very nice 2X. How do you find these places? You are the master, no doubt.

You just HAD to post a picture of a freakin' spider. Creepy, I hate those little bastards, but you already know that. But it is a really excellent picture, even if it is of a creepy spider.

I gotta visit that train station. Everyone knows how I feel about trains. I need to go there.

I agree with Raticus, that is a creepy looking spider. Very nice find though.

I agree you find the most awesome places and I love how you tell the story along with it you really draw a person in and that spider scared the crap out of me I to hate spiders and have run into my fair share of them, that and snakes, fortunately only a snake once but still. But yeah that place is awesome looking. One of my favorite photos has to be the windows and the doors slightly open with the growth coming in through them wonderful.

Spiders creep me out, but not that much. I just don't like them. I joke around a lot about them. A spider would never keep me from going to see a place. I'll just kill his ass and move on.

This place is awesome like all the places you find. I think we need to nominate 2X for the Texas Explorer of the year award.

Well thanks but theres way too many great explorers in Texas to do that.

The Guardian Draingels for example would get my vote. Nothing Ive done or could ever do comes close to what they did, in a place so sensitive we cannot even speak its name. So let us never speak of it again!

Spider... umm.. thanks for that.

I was thinking of how awesome it would be to go there and explore that train station, then I saw it was guarded by little spawns of Satan and now I don't know if I ever could.

I keep feeling crawlies all over me now.

Seriously though, that is an awesome location. Do you have anymore pictures of inside the train station? Any idea how old it is? Its very nice indeed.

Also... You didn't happen to be in Waco this past Saturday, did you?

Its actually not that great. Especially on the 'other' side of the river.
