My fascination for Urban sites is not new, but it's the first time I post anything. So please let me know what you think !
These were taken 2 weeks ago at an abandoned (and very polluted) coking plant...

The first one is grainy and out of focus, so I can't really comment on the subject.

The second one is good, it has the sort of look that you want to go for if you like interesting shots of random stuff around the site you post about.

The third one looks good as well, the sort of shot you go for to show what the site looks like.

The two photos I can see properly look like the stuff you would want to keep posting.

#2 is a great shot the depth of field is awsome # 1 does look a little bit out of focus and snapshotty and 3 has really good color. It kind of gives a sence of the polLution that you were taking about in the beginning. Keep them up compose your shots well for the best effect.

Ehh..
The resolution in them is really low

The first I don't care for, there is no focal point and no composition and it seems very snapshotty
The second is a nice idea the dof is nice but there should be more focus on the bar, the only thing that makes it stand out is that it is less blurry than the bg
The third at least has some focal point, somewhere for your eyes to go, out of them it is the best the colors are nice

Overall they are ok, but once again the low resolution is taking away from them

This looks like a place I'd visit; I like polluted places like this for some reason.

I like number 2 even at that size but the rest are too small for me to tell whether my problem is with the focus or framing or what.

Do you have a way of posting a higher res. image?

they all look out of focus, or not as sharp as they could / should be. I miss the picture so you can 'place' the more close-up pictures.

I am indeed using a Sony DSC-R1. (It's a she by the way ... )

I really had to reduce the resolution extremely to be able to attach the image.
I'm really new to this... I guess there must be better ways to share the pictures (in there original size). Suggestions are very welcome...

Thanks for the comments so far!!

It's hard to comment on 1, it would be nice if it were in higher resolution. The second would be far better is it were closer up (and the if the foreground was entirely in focus. The third is the most interesting of the bunch. Some have suggested it looks like a snap shot, but with the "swirl" makes for a nice focal point. It needs to be darkened slightly.
