Posting Info on site locations

I havent been able to do much exploring this past year due to things going on, but their calming down finally in time for summer so I'm starting to look around and check some of my resources closer again. As some know, with my job I get inside info on places closing or getting ready be torn down or renovated. I'm curious if y'all think I should post this info here or leave it up to the the individuals to find on their own. Obviously I dont post extreme sensitive places, most of the info is out there if people did some research, I just have it at my fingertips and earlier than most alot of times.

I would post it in the other place but my info doesnt work there anymore ....

My thought would be that you would probably want to post it either in "the other" place, or email pm the information to those you trust. If your information doesn't work in some other places where it has in the past, let's get that fixed for you. It's sad that sharing that information with people can lead to problems. I hate to recommend this, because I might cut myself out of some information that might be nice to have.

But the bottom line here is - you can post anything on this site you'd like, and most people will use the information wisely. But anything you post here, can be seen by the majority of people who sign on to UER. So anything sensitive or that you want kept somewhat confidential, probably should be posted in the other location.

I haven't said anything about it yet because I'm still working on it. But I am putting together a restricted access part of my website. I am going to use it as a "living" database of my own sites so that I have information with me where ever I go. It will be "update-able", and laid out in an orderly manner. When I get this finished, I will likely give access to a handful of people that I trust. If those people choose, they can add information, look at information, etc. But it will be a VERY tightly controlled access. And it won't be for public consumption.

Anyway, just throwing that out, albeit a bit early. Just food for thought.

If you post it here it will soon be infested with scrappers and hipster explorers with spraypaint.

Is there some way to obfuscate the location enough that the taggers can't wrap their remaining spray-damaged brain cell around it?

What about doing a level 3 post? or creating a L3 DB location. Just a thought.

There's so many L3 people that we don't trust any more, it would defeat the purpose.

i found this place in feb, on my way to tampa. on "big" trip from dallas to tampa, "we" stopped and got som cams from walmart. 2 cams worth of film did not come back from the "lab" on those 2 where the upper floors. we spent about 3 hours there.

btw, the newspaper box "moved" from out front (first time) to the main elevator (second trip) and its kinda big for the resident cats to mess with...

I tend to agree with Raticus and 2X.
Haven't done much lately due to "other" issues but hopefully will get back to it soon.

To echo the concerns of others;

Yes we dont want our sites tagged or stripped of copper.

If its some site thats already known to the noobs and vandalized I dont see a problem.

More importantly I think is the general broadcast of information to "non-UE types" and untrustworthy L3s especially if you dont want a half dozen threads with pictures and names and addresses plastered all over the web

I know the type of places ArchImage is talking about and while having the local cops perusing them on their coffee breaks is probably not his concern, Im pretty sure they should still be kept off UER.

Id suggest sharing them on NoahVales site once your login is reset.

Same here. I did post a note for Noah Vale yesterday but it doesn't look like he's logged on since then. I still haven't got his new phone number. I gotta get that soon.

Ahh... I've read a lot about the whole L3 system being compromised, but I guess I didn't realize it was that bad. It's sad when someone takes such a valuable tool like UER and abuses it. Thanks for all the quality info that is posted in the DB and for keeping the spirit and excitement of UE alive.

Cheers!
