What do most of you use to supply yourselves with food and water while UEing? Does anyone use energy gels or bars? Does anyone make their own food? What kind of water bottles do people use?

I am stupid with money so I just go to the convenience store and buy stuff...

lol

actually I always bring an Energy shake and Trail Mix in my bag everywhere I go In case I have to go for a day or 2 without food.. also I have 2 vitamins that would hold me over for a day each and a protein bar thats getting a little old... no water tho.. or drinks of anykind except the shake for that matter. I used to carry around a Rockstar drink with me for a week to work in case I needed it but I felt liquid running down my leg one day, couldn't figure out what it was until I noticed ROCKSTAR gushing out of my backpack my Digi was in there but I keep it in a bag <which i started the day before.. talk about luck> and the rest of the stuff was water resistant..

but yeah.. ermm an orangina is all i need.. I mean I live in the city.. theres food every 10 minutes at a minimum, no need to stock.. if I know I'll be a day or two inside a deep tunnel, then yes..

We rarely ever take anything food wise with us.. Although we maybe should pack a power bar or something because we have gotten stuck places waiting for an exit to present it's self.. Most we do is grab some fast food on our way to the site, then sometimes stop for coffee at dennys afterwards... As for water I wear a camel back, everyone I normally go with owns one but as of now for the most part I am the only one who remembers to fill/bring it.. One thing you can do to prevent your camel back from rotting out (as one of my friends did) is put a drop of bleach into it when you fill it, that way shit won't grow in it if you forget to empty/dry it out (or you could just remember to empty it....)

it depends on how long I think I'm going to be inside.

we went to do a hospital a few weeks ago and planned on being there all day (at least 8 hours) I packed a full on lunch. (unfortunately we didn't gain entry so I ate my lunch elsewhere)

most times I try to eat before I go as usually all I'm concerned about when I leave is getting a shower.

I cant stress enough the importance of having water with you.
I carry a couple convenience story bottles
its good for many things other than drinking.
I learned this the hard way during a visit to a popular state school in pa.
I ran out of water early and I was seeing desert oasis's that werent really there before long.

I usually don't bother with food and water. I do most of my stuff in the city where there are plenty of convenience stores. Although sometimes a cooler full of beer is just what the doctor ordered.

That is the fucking most disgusting thing I think I've ever seen. Thanks Jimmy Dean!

Don't feel bad. I do it too. I stuff my lumbar pack with PB&J and snickers bars for food. An afternoon/evening walk doesn't require the same amount of planning that a 47 day mountaineering expedition requires. Most people (without preexisting medical issues) can go for a couple days without food or water.

Please don't be stupid. It might piss me off so much that I have a seizure or something. I hate stupid people.
