Not ue related but...

I have a great respect of old architecture, and I was wondering if there are any schools in the Los Angeles area that teach building restoration? I would love to take said classes, but have no clue where to start? Hell if you do that line of work all the better, I would have no problem doing grunt work while learning. I don't see any point in posting this in the "other" section because not everyone can see this, and this is LA specific. Thanks in advance.

I know some people that do that kind of work, but they're up here in the SF/bay area not down by you.

I have a list of some schools at home, but from what I recall, none of them were in LA

LA and building restoration dont go together. Take the Ambassador Hotel for example.

I have a friend who works for LAUSD, as a historical Preservationist. She's the one who gave me the idea to persue this line of work.

Anyhow, she was apart of this whole Ambassador debacle(on our side). What happened was this, the construction company would give all this bullshit about how the main building was not structurally sound blah blah blah. And now they are saying the same about coconut grove. what they want to do is rebuild it. Thats construction talk for tear it down a build something else on top. And she is doing her best to fight it.
