So here's a few of my favorite pictures. Most of them are from UE trips, some other one's are not. Tell me what you think. Feel free to rip them apart, no pain, no gain.

Just read over the guidelines, I guess I should've done that in the first place (bit of a n00b). Anyways I'll tell you what I used. My camera is a Canon EOS Rebel XT. I used the standard lense with a UV filter. The images haven't been edited at all.

Cheers,

I can't stand #4. The generic night tones, overexposure, the busyness of the composition. What's not to like about the composition? The pole in the foreground, and the boring angle coupled with the centered focal point (the structure through which train cars pass). An improvement could have been setting the tripod on the concrete block and shooting more head-on. Think about, don't just apply directly to the forehead.

The rest of them are very fresh. They seem to lack contrast but have varied lighting, establishing a feeling of hidden poignance, especially with the abandoned motif (which extends to even the last photo, where the eavestrough appears detached). If they were stripped of the black frame, they'd do even better with this. I love the darkness in #3, but not too many people share that love. Good love printing something life that with a sub-par printer.
