I think he was too. If I had any control over that situation it would be different. I think he did want to be banned, I think he just go tired of it.

| | | it takes years and years for all that calcium to build up one grain at a time we think part of this drain may be 100 years old

| | | I would assume the tunnel system can get pretty elaborate down there? Besides common sense and a sense of direction do you take any measures to keep from getting lost? Its seems like after a while things would begin to look similar and it would be easy to get confused. [last edit 5/10/2007 7:46 PM by scotteeyo - edited 1 times]

Measures? We dont need no stinking measures! I stay confused most of the time and sometimes I even try to get lost. But if worse comes to worst, you can always just follow the water downhill. It always runs back downhill.

| | | When I go into drains by myself (which isn't often) I use sidewalk chalk to mark the walls where I've been. Kind of like a trail of bread crumbs. It's not permanent, comes off with water. But it helps to know where you've been. Of course, the drains I go in are usually hard to get lost in. They're not like the ones you guys have up there. We've got one at the end of my street thats only about 20 feet through the one drain. You can see all the way through. But I'd still use my kiddie sidewalk chalk, just to be safe. (Yes Barry, I am kidding) But I'm not kidding about the chalk in a long maze of tunnels. That's what I do. [last edit 5/10/2007 10:51 PM by Raticus - edited 1 times]

| | | Nice tunnel pics! What is that yellow goo? It looks like something that once destroyed Scully's shoe. You always hear about meeting strangers in dark alleys, but I never thought of tunnels. I was sitting here (got up too early) thinking about a guy who called himself Raticus suddenly walking out of a tunnel in front of me, and I sorta lost it. The cats were amused. And it takes a lot to amuse cats.
