Taken while exploring an abandoned farmhouse today right before the storm rolled in over Southwestern Ohio. Let me know what you think:

These are wonderful. I really like how you managed to keep your editing subtle (if it's there, I apologize if it's not), and the pictures themselves are just good. I'm glad UER has at least one fellow storm fan.

those are cool.... I love the ones with the sky... that is just awesome!

The real trouble with reality is that there’s no background music.

I love the first one as is, but personally would have moved it a bit more to the right.
The last one is great compositionally, however is a bit too dark.
Those are my only complaints.

Is it just my monitor or does the first look oversharpened? and all are on the noisy side? My new monitors each have a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and just been noticing that with any compressed images the noise is much increased.

Yeah, I didn't notice that untill after I took the picture that the path was cut off, and it really bugs me now. However, at the time I took the picture we were trying to move as fast as possible to get off the field and into the car since the tornado warning sirens had just turned on so if it looks oversharpened that was just me trying to compensate for the motion blue i got while moving.

very, very cool. The first shot blows my mind. They definitely compensate for all the monotonous asylum shots I've seen.

That first shot is great. It looks to me like that might be a wall cloud (I could be wrong, though). Did you see any funnels form from it?

Well personally I didn't see anything but my friend claims he saw a funnel cloud, then as we were walking the tornado sirens started going off so we decided to head to a safe place. The cool thing about this abandoned house is that the field it sits is protected by law as a wetland habitat of some sort. There are geese everywhere (and the geese are assholes too) so alla round the house and field are new industrial plazas and such. So after we heard the tornado sirens we just headed for a parking garage to take shelter and watch the storm pass by.

I agree, except a crop of the top 1/3 or 1/4 might have tightened it up a bit to compensate.

I love storms, good shots man!

Number one is awesome though the road does lead the eye out of the picture. The clouds are so dramatic, I love storms, was eased to sleep by one last night. Kudos for snapping pics of the drama!
