Interesting location.... (Magnolia/Houston Area)

Me and my friends were out scouting for possible UE locations when we came upon an interesting prospect.... it was pretty out of sight.... went past a railroad track into this winding road surrounded by wood eventually coming up on to a large building. It was a dark night and the place was around a bit of a shady neighbourhood so we didn't want to leave the car there to investigate further. We're planning on going back this weekend, but I was just wondering if anyone had any information on this location.... for anyone familiar with the area it's around Hidalgo Park, on Wingate Street.

Edit: I spoke to a friend about it and he claims it was formerly an asylum, and then some sort of detainment center for immigration, other than that I don't know much else about the place

Hit a bit of a snag yesterday, we went by the house during the afternoon to check it out and saw people working inside of it, I guess they're renovating it now. We came back around 4 A.M. to try to get inside but there was a cop patrolling the area, we'll be going again today later, hopefully I can snag some good pictures

With all that going on, I'd recommend leaving that one alone and looking for something else to explore. I think there are a couple of folks who would agree with me.

Yea, this one seems like it's not worth the risk, I still want to get some photos of the exterior at least.

I don't see anything wrong with that, but if it's being renovated, the cops are patrolling, it isn't worth the risk. Too much else to explore.

I believe the property is patrolled by the Port Authority BE CAREFUL. We jumped the fence once only to have a car turn it's engine in inside the area. There are other cool old warehouses next to it too. There were several old apartments in the are that are demolished.

There is an old autoparts store that i would love to check out on Broadway and Laporte road near the exxon. Give a holler if in the area.
