| | | Just be honest guys, are these uber-cliched? I thought the lighting was interesting that day, but have these angles been done to death? 1) 2) Tech: Nikon D80, 18-135 kit lens

| | | Actually, grain elevators (especially the ones in Buffalo) haven't really been done enough. There's nothing wrong with these shots. The nice lighting helps them out. I'd probably do something in PS to try and get rid of the blue casts in the highlight areas though.

| | | The lighting in the second shot is great. I agree, I don't think it's been done enough. Also I would work on that blue cast shadow, as well. Next time, try to get a variety of angles. They're fun to photo

Not where I'm from! From one point in Minneapolis you can drive 5 min and pass like 10 HUGE mills and elevators.

| | | Well start posting some pictures then. I wasn't suggesting that people weren't out there exploring them, just that I'm not seeing enough of them here on this site. Edit: or maybe you were just trying to say that you were sick of seeing them because of where you live. Either way, this site could use some more. That really surprises me given how known and visible they are.
Also I would work on that blue cast shadow, as well. |
I was willing to deal with it in the first photo, but I agree it's very distracting in the second. I'll work on it in both regardless. Thank you guys!
