Here's a few pictures from a recent return for one of my best explores...

Taken with a nikon d50 with sigma 10-20 lens. And just for info, there has been NO post processing with these apart from re-sizing and a face smudge..

let me know what you all think...

i think you did a nice job overall, personally i really am not into the distortions caused by super wide angle lenses on vertical lines, it really drives me crazy. i dont know why. i see a lot of that on this site. obviously people like it. i think a super wide angle lens has some pertinent uses, but i think sometimes on these forums it is overused by people to make up for its lofty price tag.

/rant, this doesnt really pertain to your pics though bc yours arent bad.

Tell me those empty shelves aren't the ones from the Harry Potter library you posted a few months ago. If it is, it's a crime that this room was cleaned out.

Nice to see your highlights aren't showing up pink anymore. The superwide works for most of these, but the way it's stretching john paul ringo II looks a little...wrong, for lack of a better term. #1 and the second-to-last shot are very nice. The third one looks almost like it's upside-down at first. Nice overall though.

yep.

Amazing looking place. I remember that one hallway.
I think that 3 could stand to be brighter, or maybe some white balance. The tone is a bit drab for me.
Other than that, everything is great. That spiral staircase is excellent

I love the angle of the bed in the first. The symmetry in six is great. That hall/area was a nice shot.

The spiral staircase looks nice, as well.

I'm just trying to imagine how that lens would look on a full-frame sensor or film!

Personally I feel the wide angle is a bit much on these, I actually think that the first set you posted from here were stronger photos overall.

I think wide angles get used here because they are made for tight spaces, like the ares we spent time in are

Good shots, but I feel there is something missing with each, not in subject, but in "pop". They all seem a bit bland. I like darker images, but these seem to lack contrast.

If it was possible to back up on the first image and reduce barrel distortion by zooming in a bit, that image would be far stronger. That is the only image where the extreme wide angle bothers me a lot. Walking around with your lens at 10mm and shooting all day can make for a boring set. If it is unnecessary, then try to avoid it.

Just some opinions,

I love the pictures. Great concept. But I hate the way the wide angle lens leaves out sharpness and real line definition in some of the pictures. The one of the long hallway especially peeves me.
