Adding A Location

I'm a basic member and have a lot of locations I'd like to add to the database, but as i cant see the full list of locations I dont know if i'd just be making a double or pissing a whole bunch of people off by making a publicly viewable location. Is this how it works or will my locations first be approved by someone? I'm only asking because I dont want to add locations that are already there, or if its going to annoy people/ tell taggers good spots.

Cheers, Joe.

P.S: Locations are in melbourne, australia.

You need to be full Member to do that, sorry.

Welcome to the boards!

As on getting Full Member status just stick around for awhile and post so people can get to know you.

Post your photos in the World forum or the UE Photography forum.

Welcome aboard, Joe.

As a new member you can only see locations that are marked "Publically Viewable" - basically those that have been demolished or are at low risk of being tagged / vandalized / scavenged / arsonized or otherwise abused.

You need to become a full member before you can see the remaining locations or add new ones to the LDB. If a location already exists, please don't make a duplicate entry. You are however welcome to add your own photo gallery (25 picture limit) and information to any existing locations.

New locations aren't formally screened before being added to the LDB, but they are reviewed by the mods and the community at large afterwards. Like Wikipedia, anyone can contribute content to a location regardless of who created it.

Like Clegg says, post some pics and participate in the forums so we can get to know you a bit before applying for full membership. If you have any more questions in the meantime, check out the FAQ (pinned at the top of all forums) or feel free to send a PM to me or any of the other mods.

Enjoy your stay.

Thanks, knew I couldnt SEE the other locations until i was a full member, but for some reason I had the idea in my head that I could still add to the db. thanks also for clearing up why some locations are public and some arent, I was a bit worried about adding anything up here for the same reasons.

cheers, joe

That's correct. For non-full members, the LDB is basically read-only. All you can do is read the info on the main location pages, browse the photo galleries, and comment on the pictures.
