This is an old copper mine in North Norway. Found a plan of it in a museum and went looking for it the next day. Welcome in Kafjord....

All digital images processed to look like a Diana/Holga pic, let me know what you think of it.

I think they would have been better if you processed them to look like good pictures, which they seem to be.

So, why spend _____$ on a digital compact/slr, either buy or bootleg image processing software, and spend however long it took you to do these, all to make photos look like they were taken with a plastic piece of sh*t? Sorry, it's just something I've never understood, fake grain and fake vignetting are two of my pet peeves. I know graphic designers like to do this kind of thing because the images then make good background for text, but (imo, of course) I think this kind of processing just looks bad, and conveys the feeling that you think the work can't stand up on its own without gimmicky processing techniques. If you really want this look, go buy one of those shitty light-leaking cameras with a plastic lens, at least then it'd look like natural crap. At the very least, pick up a first-generation lensbaby.

As for composition and subject, these are pretty good. Nothing mind-altering, but solid work from what seems like a challenging spot. I really dig #5 in the link to your other shots as well, I think it's stronger than the detail shot you posted here. Detail shots work best when you really isolate them from the background, in #3 here you're either too close or too far away. A bit of a lower angle to put more of the machinery in the sky would have been nice too.

The location is pretty cool, I like ruins and old mines. Probably not the best light quality and/or time of day for a subject like this, but you worked well with what you had. This place looks like it would work well under moonlight too.

yep.
