I have posted these before, but this time I made them better. Some might say the saturation is to much or there a little over the top, but let me know what you think.

These where take with my old P$S camera wich at that time was taking blurry pics. (RIP olympus) So It was a really big pain trying to get these two to work!

#1 - composition stinks, way too much going on without anything actually being interesting. way too much saturation. your watermark almost blends in with graffiti.

#2 - selective desaturation is 99% of the time kinda cheesy and rarely works, when the only color you allow to be shown is a dark brown, it definitely doesn't work.

I think selective desturation is usually pretty cool when done with very bright colors that will really contrast with the grayscale.

This is one I did that I think turned out pretty well:


For example, go back and shoot that building on a sunny day, desaturate it, and put the grafitti in color. I think that would be pretty neat. Sorry to hear your point and shoot bit the dust, but dont hold anything against olympus, thier Evolt DSLR's are absolutely wonderful.

Yeah If I ever go back there I will try and re take that shot. As for the olympus I have Evolt 500 and Its really a improvement.

i dont know i like the excessive saturation in # 1 personally. # 2 isnt doing much for me
