I personally would have come from a little higher angle so the keys were all in view or I would have moved a bit more to the right. Not that I know anything about anything, but thats how I would have liked to see it

There's nothing really wrong with this shot other than a little lack of focus. Your composition is pretty complete and the angle isn't bad. It seems like the keys of the piano (usually, but not always the subject of piano shots) are kind of an afterthought compared to the blank sideboard, though. It would make more sense, I think, if there was graffiti or some sort of design on the board, but it's empty, and the angle doesnt make as much sense that way. Try taking this, like PunkUE said, a little more to the right and a little further up. I'd like to see the result.

like stated previously, i too agree that the angle you chose shows too much of the blank board on the side of the piano. its not a bad shot though, just needs to be a bit more clear.

Why shoot f11 ?????

most lenses are sharpest at f5.6 - f.8

He's so close to the subject that's his only way to get most of it in 'ok' focus. There's too much of a difference in the distance to shoot 5.6 and hope that it's not all going to be fuzzy but for 5cm of keyboard.

You should shoot it again more to the right so you can get more of the keys into the picture.

The lighting on the keys is so much warmer then the light on whatever you call the left side of a piano.

both sides for some reason the paint is peeled off and all that is left is the base coats. they must of put more primer, or something on the front and top, when it was made.

it's a pity that someone left a nice instrument to rot like that, oh well so it goes. was that shot off a tripod?

ive shot that piano a million times, the room is wierd to get a full shot of it. So I would just try and focus on certain aspects of the piano.

Pianos are a boring subject to being with, they big and bulky and shit, if anything, catch yourself a shot of the whole thing.
