| | | So I shot these photos way back in August, and today I was editing them to be put up on my site when the idea crossed my mind to possibly re-post them to see how the new ones held up. So I guess give 'em a whirl if you feel.

| | | Is this Kodak film? It has the yellow/blue and subsquent green feel to them.

| | | It seems like you went a bit crazy with the sharpening in 2. The sign looks awful. 3 and 5 seem to be the only shots with something in sharp focus. I have seen pictures of yours on this site that I quite like, just not these.

yeah, i totally did! i didnt even notice until after i looked at the converted jpegs. i dont really know where your coming from with the comment about areas in focus. there is only one out of the set that might be not in focus which would be the last. | | | Well, they look soft to me. I wonder if this might have occurred during the scanning because I see splotches that look sharp within what I would consider to be a soft picture. I also wonder if because you are familiar with what these pictures look like on the negs or prints that you aren't really seeing how they are appearing here? I think you should meditate on the Roto Barrel picture
and see if you can see what I mean. Or you can just compare it to this picture of yours and see the difference in sharpness

| | | Yeah, I looked back over them, youre totally right. It is the scanning. The medium format stuff was scanned from prints using a flatbed. The other example was a slide scanned with a negative scanner. Go figure.

| | | Cool stuff, despite the green and yellow tints. I'd recommend playing around with your aperture a bit, though. Some of these have a really shallow DOF.
