|  | | | These are some pics I got from a house in Wainfleet. They're of photos left behind by a family who was once living there. It's odd that they left behind such classic pictures. I'm sry about the quality, I only had my F810 that day. The S6000 got left in the truck. I rather enjoyed taking pictures of other pictures, it did kind of creep me out though.

| | | | I love this sort of thing. I wonder if one could take a small portable scanner for such things and scan a few of the better pictures for posterity.
I think I posted a while back about a guy who finds old cameras in thrift shops and such and develops any unprocessed film to see what they contain. Usually he gets one or two usable shots and some are quite poignant. I lost the site address, but if I find it again I'll repost it.

| | | | Awwww, that last photo is so adorable! What a great find. I love buying old photos like these from antique stores...one place nearby sells them by the envelope full. I have a box of photos from my great-grandparents and my grandmother...I eventually want to get them all scanned, organized, and up on a website.

| | | | one thing you should do... wchich is what im doing with my grandparents photos is... find the hosues inthe pictures and shoot them at the same angle and all as they stand today.
Its a slow project of mine for my family.. all the houses they grew up in and moments they remember through photo's that im just gonna show what time has done. i hope to have it all finished in the next few months. I'll post a link when i get it finished

| | | | That's an awesome idea. Sadly the people in these pictures are as much of a mystery as the place they were found. For some reason this entire house was just abandoned with furniture, appliances, some art and crafts in the children's rooms. Their were even prescription drugs and rather recent (6month old) phone bills in there. I don't understand why these pics would have been left behind, amongst other things.
As for the question of the location in the pictures; That is not the house they were found in. The house is a modern style 2 bedroom bungalo with recent upgrades and fresh paint. The house had virtually no decay untill it's abandonement when the basement flooded to about 5 foot deep. Their are actually still cans of paint left behind from a rather impressive art project on the ceiling of the place. I'll attach some more pictures below.

P.S. sorry about the quality once again. This wasn't take to look good, just to show others what the house looked like. I'll return sometime soon to take some more artsy shots.

| | | | This one really intrigues me. If it were old folks who died with no relatives I could see the sudden abandonment, but they obviously were a relatively young family, so it's odd that they all completely disappeared.
I love a mystery lol.
