One Hell of a cold day!

Well im back.... I took these on a really cold day and my other camera kept freezing and leaving the shutter open for minutes. And when things couldn’t get any worse my tripod was broken. After wiping it at the wall I pulled put my trusty digital. Now I know it’s not good to take pics out in the cold with digital, so I only took 10 shots But what can you do...

I tried to get into some of these houses, but there was no way of getting in! One had a office inside of it. These where saved from the wrecking ball some time in the 80's. I didn't want to wreck any of the window or any thing trying to take to boards of the windows, so I didn't bother.

O well, Be easy, It was a cold day and not much to take shots of.

1. kinda meh. centering it and converting it to black and white would do a lot more for it.

2, 4, 5. all have the same kinda concept and perspective, but i feel 5 does the best job at it. #2 needs more of an interesting angle. 4 and 5 are both good shots though, just wish you would have went a bit closer to the house in 4.

3. way too much editing in a bad way. you should have done what you did with 6 on this.

6. hats off to you. this shot is amazing. the tones and colours work well with each other, a muted background with the house vibrant. the thing that makes this shot work is the overall atmosphere created by the burning and dodging. composition is spot on also with that crazy ass tree hanging overtop and the various shrubs.

7. too much editing, the ps work is way too obvious around the house. copy what you did to #6 next time.
