Photography is a huge hobby of mine. I love taking pictures of old & abandoned places/things. I'm trying to get an idea of where to start looking around in the Dallas area for good photo spots. Anyone out there willing to share ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

most folks around here find places to photograph by driving, walking, Googling around, often refered to as exploring

or just hang around the forum long enough and somebody is bound to post some public information about someplace sooner or later

If you do a little research, there's an old air field of some sort in Saginaw that's about to be torn down (soon).

I wanted to keep that one to myself, but I'm afraid that I'm not going to be able to make it out there in time.

If you're not against me, don't cross this line. If yes, do.

Wow, thanks! I just looked that place up...looks interesting! Hopefully I can make it out there in time. I'll let you know, of course.

Google earth is a great resource. Just about every place I found locally in the last year has been though there.

The dallasmetropolis.com forums have a lot of discussion about architecture-related topics, both new buildings and old ones. You can pick up a lot of tips there, from the current demolition of the newer wings of the old Parkland Hospital (nowhere near the current complex) to DART rail construction.

J'ai toujours fait une prière à Dieu, qui est fort courte.
La voici: "Mon Dieu, rendez nos ennemis bien ridicules!"
Dieu m'a exaucé.
