|  | | | I never thought I'd post this; because I don't think there is such a thing as a Rookie; the interest in this hobby in my estimation is ALWAYS driven by interest in a particular property, not the opposite. I don't believe anyone wakes up one day and says "I want to UE something" . Doesn't work like that.
In addition, I never thought I would be a forum booster of sorts, but here goes.
If and when you get full membership (I'm not too cool with that concept either, but then again everyone here used to be here because they were interested in something, not UE), and you post responses to the pics on the LDB, PLEASE do not clutter the damn thing up by responding to each one of the pictures.
I beg you... I love the LDB, it's like a separate forum where you have fun breaking chops, making fun of old shit, and the comments you want to track are driven by those comments. So please in the interest of everyone do not feel required to say "neato" to every shitty picture of peeling paint. It's annoying, even to the creators/ contributors of the location.
The first time you feel the urge to say "so beautiful (to a pic of an old washing machine) or "it looks like my aunt jane" : DON"T.
But DO feel free to break balls and make fun of old time shit, it's hysterical, and the most open forum out there. Have fun with it, most of the time the pics are designed to evoke a comment, feel fee to do so, as long as it isn't ALL OF THEM.
