same church!!! when walking towards the altar, on the right there's a passage to the monastery. In the hallway there's this fountain with this painting.

They designate places as "holy places" - it's sort of like a zoning regulation.
Unholied sort of means it has been rezoned from 'church' to 'whatever.'

We could split hairs over the point whether turning a RC-church into a mosque would count as "profane use" :)
And the "unholied" picture reminded me of this detail I saw on the (still active) cathedral of Freiburg (.de). Since when do angels have bat's wings?
