| | | I think you need to find some different subject matter as mentioned earlier. Find a shot with more dynamic range, you may have more luck with a daytime shot. I find that stuff involving really cool looking skies tend to turn out awesome in HDR. Examples:
People who aren't a fan of super HDR-looking photographs will probably knock me for these, but whatever. If you like the look, great, if not, that's cool too.

| | | HDR is alright as long as you don't go beyond the dynamic range of the human eye. the second one has better contrast (the first one was lacking), but those star shaped lights are ridiculous.

Ya can't even buy a 14 pt star filter! Besides it wasn't intentional and it does look cool. In the future monitors will have higher dynamic ranges and the SEDs will be out in 1-2 years. 4Xhttp://www.bhphoto...dTroughType=search 6Xhttp://www.bhphoto...dTroughType=search

I like the effect myself, and besides those lights aren't directional; he couldn't simply more over 100 feet to avoid them. What's the point of taking a night shot in the daytime? Reminds me of the old B "night" movies.

There's no angle you can take a picture of the tower from where you won't have street lights in the picture like that. Except from Space, maybe.
or maybe take it during the day?!
|
Yeah... That'd be a much more interesting picture...
