|  | | | yesterday, i took my g/f shooting at a place way south of ft worth, we spent 6 hours there, anyhow, on the way back i spotted a house, chain link fenced in, but the "gate" was torn off and looked like a "road" went behind it so i stopped, no pics yet as i dont have any idea how to get them out of my camera/fon.
this old house stunk like cat piss and its very well stocked for canning, still has food in the pantry and dishes in the cupboard, lots of purses and most of the windows still had glass, the "farm" had 8 out buildings including a hen house, barn, stable and some sort of equipment maintenance shed, a mobile home(with lots of blood on the floor), some type of resale building? for canned fruit? a NEW water pump atop a well? and the remains of an above ground water tank, the barn looked as if it had 3 rooms that at one time may have been for hired help, and the upper part of the barn was filled with roles of barb wire fence, a few pieces of old chairs and a couch. some reading material dated to sept, 06! and upstairs was old mags dating from the 50's it looked as if anything of value as sold off, and only mattresses remained along with some old handmade furniture.

There was a sad case in Ellis County, southeast of FW, where a sweet old lady was murdered by a would-be robber and her body was left in an abandoned farmhouse. Hopefully, that's *not* the one you found. How often *does* a description of an abandoned building include "lots of blood"???

It was pretty big news when it happened, partly because it was the mother of someone famous. I did some poking and found this news article. This should give you enough info to search further if you like.
Authorities question man in elderly woman's death

BARDWELL (AP) - A 49-year-old man being questioned in connection with the death of the elderly aunt of "Dateline NBC" anchor Stone Phillips remained in the Ellis County Jail late Sunday.
Authorities said the man, whose name they would not release, led investigators Friday night to an abandoned farmhouse outside Bardwell where they found the body of Doris Phillips.
Phillips, 81, disappeared from her Reagor Springs home on July 26. The Ellis County Sheriff's Department would not say how the woman died.
"This is still an ongoing investigation. We prefer not to discuss some things right now," said Lt. Clint Tims.
The man, who has been charged with burglary, is described as a longtime friend of the woman.
The suspect was linked to an undisclosed item missing from the woman's home, leading authorities to charge him with burglary. Officials hope to file additional charges after further investigation.
Weeks before her disappearance, Doris Phillips had felt uneasy, said her son, John Phillips, 50.
"There were things she said to her neighbors," he said. "She felt like she was being watched. She was picking up on some things."
Doris Phillips, who lived alone, acted in several low-budget films and performed every year in Waxahachie's Scarborough Renaissance Festival.
Bardwell is about 40 miles southeast of Dallas. |

has not been charged with murder yet but he lead lawmen to the body and is being held on "aggravated robbery"
