Kansas City in HDR

I just started expirementing with HDR, so they arent great, but i kinda like them. so if anyone could offer some comments, tips, questions, concerns, that would be much appreciated.

1.

Thats our city from Liberty Memorial, a giant, rather phallic, monument to WWI.

2.

Same view at dusk.

3.

The monument at dusk.

4.

The same shot at night. and yes, the colors are that way. because of the opening of a new WWI museum, they shine these giant red lights at it.

5.

Some random building. Its a bad pic, but i like the colors.

6.

thats just my very first HDR image that i felt like throwing in for the hell of it.

so reviews would be nice.

I'm just getting into this HDR stuff...not sure what I think of it so far. I think your first photo would have been better with a darker sky. The city lights are really cool looking, but I think the bright sky is overpowering and takes away from the lights. I think it is done well, but not on a photo that I would have done in that style...if that makes sense. I like the second and fifth ones better, especially the peach/pink tones in the second one.

You did the best HDR I've ever saw. Reason #1: It doesn't look like HDR. And this is a big compliment!!!

I can't believe you make Kansas City look good.

#3 is kind of cool, I just love the color gradient of the sky. You do a good job of taking advantage of HDR without making it look like a silly computer generated fantasy image, which is all too rare.
