I use a digital camera myself w/ movie mode.. I like to take movie shots as they give more detail to the area that they are in.. but I still like the pics as well.. depends.. if im in say a building, a floor shot here and a room shot there is all i need but if I see a secret room and I want to remind myself how to get to it or if I just want a full 360 shot and more.. I'll make movies..

as for a fitting on a digi well you can get expensive cameras that are expandable like the old really good cameras.. <you know like the one that Austin Powers uses.. > So it's all in how much you want to spend.. physical zoom is good.. It really is a powerful tool in getting detail, and if you get a powerful enough of a lens you can use it as a telescope as well, and a lot of camcorders are powerful enough to use it for that function.. add night vision and you're rockin'

definitely digi.. plus you can transfer them over to your computer and still use a machine to create or photos

I will defeat that which was once untouchable only so that I may now move on

I shoot with a RebelXT, and several different lenses, with my fav's being the 20mmEF, the 16mm Zenitar and a few others. I also use the yashica GSN Electro 35, an dOlympus XA2 (perfect for conceilment and being low key) and would recommend getting a digital when starting out because your learning curve will shorter (much shorter)

If your hard up for cash try a Yashica Electro 35 GSN. Good value for the money, almost bombproof and its not sensitive to the environments as much as expensive, plastic DSLR's are.

Film development is cheap these days and u cant go wrong with a fully manuel rangefinder for $50 tops.

Thanks for all the input.

I'm going to mess around with my olympus and see how it goes for a bit.

Thanks,
