When I questioned him about what to take he said "I usually just bring a torch, and myself" After 6 hours of driving and being around 3 hours late, I met Dsankt and Ekweleks on a bridge outside my hotel. So that has been my philosophy since then... to try and take the bare minimum of equipment! You don't NEED fancy gear or even socks! I keep leather gloves, head lamp, and compass in my car just incase.
