The shots are difficult to critique. All are competent. Now you need subjects of greater interest for this specific forum. I realize you're checking your style etc. Forget it you're fine. Go shoot some UE stuff next. Maybe even use a film camera as a back up when your batteries die.

I have to agree with Jannx, Yashica's are fantastic. I have a Yashica Electro 35 GS (they come in the G,GS,GSN models) and they are great, and almost indestructable. And for $35 you cant go wrong with a nice sharp 1.7 lens. Perfect for UE'ing.
I'd also recommend a Yashica Lynx 14, with a 1.4 lens and its built like a tank.

I like that you chose to focus on the plant in the foreground instead of the surroundings. This makes for a very interesting and well-contrasting photo.

I meant to take the photo, obviously, but it had been wet outside and then when I got in the car it was warm, and the lens on my camera is unprotected (cuz my camera's beat) and doesn't close anymore, and so i had instinctively put my hand over the lens when I got in the car. The warmth plus the little bit of moisture (not enough to hurt the camera) made the lens fog up just a little bit. The result was slightly blurred edges, and a warped effect on the doorframe of the house, which I think adds to the overall creepiness of the house...but that's just my opinion. Let me know what you think, be completely honest if you think it sucks (I just felt the need to explain before I just put it up).
The goal is not to change your subjects, but for the subject to change the photographer. |

| | | | I think that the only bad part of the last one you added if the focal point draws your eyes north south, but the staircase ruins the rhythm. However you're a lot better UE photographer than i am, just from my art classes I've learn thatts a common problem and it seems to address your photo. As for the other i like them, but that one does have a lot of contrast.
