just comb your local neighborhood. I found a tunnel under the movie theater and it is very long because I cant see the end. I havent been able to go in the tunnel, because water spills over the top of my wading boots and I have an infected toe and I dont want to get it wet. just go places on your bike. its better to go on your bike because you get excercize and you can go places cars cant. basicly go places that you have overlooked and go in every nook and cranny in your neighbor hood. your bound to find an adventure.

Public transportation!!!

In the DFW area, we have a train that you can ride all day for pretty cheap. It goes from Dallas to Fort Worth and back. Since its a train, you get to see a lot of areas that you normally wouldn't see from the streets or highways. Monday I'm going to hop on a train, ride a few times and keep my eyes open.

Just thought that might help.

Best advice ever:

1. Go to the ghetto.
2. Get lost.

You'd be amazed what you find.

How many crack rocks will a 20D buy? Doesn't sound like a good idea to me either.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

I guess it depends on which ghetto you go to. I heard the deeper the ghetto, the better the crack rock.

(This is a joke for those who don't know me very well... uhhh which would be everyone. *Smile*)

As a fellow new guy, I am faced with finding new sites in my area as well. Depending on what your looking for, you can often find answers in your favorite map book that will get you looking in the right direction at least, especially if you're in a city or town that you don't live in.

As you know, the zoning areas are colour coded (residential, commercial, industrial) and the rail lines are marked as well, which often lead to cool industrial sites that you wouldn't otherwise think of or know about. Rail lines often supply heavier industry which has a habit of picking up and moving to another country, leaving you with a great location to explore.

Stick to the 'grey' industrial zones is my motto . . . I'm having a blast. If/when I become a FM I'll hopefully be able to contribute some industrial sites in my area . . . Good luck

what is FM exactly?
