abandoned house

i just broke into an abandoned house that turned out to have its owners living next door..... they were pissed. we werent stealing or vandalizing, just takin photos, but here we were, all up in their shit. they were far from impressed.
a suggestion to all: keep to the abandoned public spaces and no private property. to us it was simply a cool building, but to them it was as good as breaking into their present home..... it was really a wakeup call. they were kind enough not to call the police. it took alot of talking and explaining and my showing them my portfolio of pics of other abandoned spaces to get our asses off the line. it turns out every other person who broke in did jail time for the offense. they spared us, so here i am spreading the word.
please dont bother asking where this house is. the poor owners dont need the stress.
ps ive been exploring for years.... i never knew other people were doing this too, let alone international websites and the like. crazy shit
keep it up

That's why Urban Exploration is about preparation, research and getting ready. It's not about "breaking into".

This ain't no Mission Impossible movie, it's LIFE.

when entering any home or factory youre trespassing, they are private property.... im sorry if my using the term "breaking in" offended somebody. we didnt damage any property, and as for research, we spoke to neighbors, checked the internet and exhausted every resource possible. there was no way of knowing there was a shut-in living there who hadn't left the building in years.
i learned from the mistake and want to put it out there that unfortunately these things happen. there is no need to be rude.

what is the need for this high and mighty bullshit. the homework was done but unfortunately there were unforseen curcumstances. i didnt post this to brag, i posted it so it doesnt happen to someone else. a factory is one thing, but a house whether abandoned or not still belongs to someone. all buildings are private property, but a house is personal and emotional property. im well aware it wasnt cool, but it happened.
im not a fucking thief, as you may think, im someone who made a mistake.
this thread wasnt posted so i could have people chastise me, it was posted to make everyone aware of UE on a residential level and its effects on its 'victims' (for lack of a better word)
thank you
ben
