Carl's Corner met the business end of a wrecking ball today. The only thing they saved were the dancin frogs. Billboards are already in place announcing the coming of Willie's Place, a 3000 acre development with not only a truck stop and bar and grill, but a country music hall of fame and an entertainment venue. News reports say that Willie will have a concert there on New Years Eve to open the place up in style. scheduled to perform, Ray Price, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard and Willie himself, of course.

It would be interesting to see who the financial backers really are Im sure the Bio Willie enterprise will play a role somehow and who knows, The Red Headed Stranger may even have some federal alternative fuel tax abatements up his poncho

Or grow some pot out back.

I remember when they bought those frogs from the old Redux club on Lower Greenville. R.I.P. Carls. We'll never forget your sleezy bathrooms and showers.
At least we can still stop for Kalaches in West.

I'm a blatant waste of time and resources.

You can make some really cool stuff with hemp, I don't see why biodiesel couldn't be one of them. I wonder if you would get high off the exhaust fumes.

There is a Knox Truck Stop between Hillsboro and West about 10 miles south of Carl's Corner that still has some good and sleazy restrooms. They also have a BB-Q restaurant there, that is one of the best I've ever been to....

hey mayhem, you may or may not know this

hops are in the hemp family! whoda thunk it?

noticed the other day lots of the corn crop has failed and some farmers are bailing it up for feed or ethanol

now that our gasoline has 10% ethanol you probably can get a buzz by inhaling it! (I got stuck behind a dang old 75 76 carbureted Chevy truck running too rich and it smelled just like cheap tequila!)

remember only order 100% blue agave tequila...
