I like em all, but #5 kinda seems to lack a subject.

Many approach UE photography from the documentary standpoint: 'let me show you an abandoned building I visited.'
You seem to want to create a sense of art in the decay and I appreciate that whereas it seems to bore and/or confuse others.
My only complaint is image size. I think we would all benefit from seeing these much larger - maybe host them elsewhere and link the URLs? Photobucket and Flickr are free.

i use photobucket. youre resolution is too high. i try to keep mine below 90/k. if you have photoshop use the "save to web" function.
but the photos seem to lack an interesting subject, and the first one could have benefitted from better composition.

I enjoy looking at the closeups, but I also need to see a larger overview of the area. For example, in photo #6, I can find a dirty sink anywhere... I like to see where it was so that I can get some kind of overall perspective.

I really like your work, great use of perspective, saturation, and choice of subject. Number 1 is amazing. Keep it up!

Its a shame that pic number 6 is a bit small - the things in the sink are colourful little butterflies...

1: A great photo. Not much to say.

2: Is my least favourite of the set... the angle and blur made me stare at it a couple of seconds to figure out what I was looking at, but when I realized it was a shiny sink in some grass... well it wasn't that exciting.

3: My favourite. Excellent, excellent composition... and there is so much to look at in this shot! The mirror by itself is interesting, especially the outline on the wall where the broken half used to be. THEN your eye gets drawn into studying the rest of the room details reflected in the remaining part of the mirror. Fantastic job on this one.

4: A good photo, but I liked #3 so much that now I have higher expectations..

5: Maybe I'm all alone here, but I love shots like this. I have a soft spot for photos that show some nice gritty texture like old steps. Great use of light and shadow.

6: Yeah I would have never known those were butterflies (or moths?) if I hadn't read it above. Needs to be bigger. A well-balanced shot though.

Great work! I'm looking forward to your next set.

I agree with this. I think you're much too close to the subject, and thats made the grass the subject. Don't wanna look at grass, really. I have a lawn outside (that needs mowing) that I can look at if I want to see grass. In fact, sorry, but #2 is abysmal in my opinion, theres no context to it. Its just.. grass.

The rest are ok. Good work.

I love #3. I had to do a double-take, to figure out what was going on with the mirror.
