| | | first off i'd like to say that #14 is my favorite of the set. and it wasnt hard to pick that one. it certainly stuck out. its so amazing. it looks like you may have used flash on 2, and possibly 3. if you did, thats cool, but it doesn't make for aesthetically pleasing photographs. #4 is splendid, but perhaps you could rotate it clockwise a bit. the vertical lines arent quite vertical. #5 is a good job of creating a definite object for the eye to rest on, surrounded by a bunch of confusing debris. good eye, good thinking. #7 and #8 may look better with a little saturation. try it. #9 just seems flat and fuzzy, but yes, its a nice hallway. #12 is better than #11 i think, just because of the vibrant colors. #13 is another favorite. i dont know how to improve it...maybe a little darker? more contrast? it doesn't need anything really #14 (my favorite) would also look sweet in BW. #15 is pretty cute. that yellow one is starting to get washed out though. #16 very pretty and sort of elegant. this one is a bit tilted though, like #4. rotate it clockwise a tad.

| | | Thanks for commenting. I didn't use a flash on any pictures. I try never to use a flash. It's just a long exposure

| | | Nice stuff, I prefer longer exposures over flash as well (better colours)

| | | It's good that you're getting down low instead of eye-level all the time. If you're going to be doing longer exposures (more than a second), you may as well go all the way and close your aperture down to get the entire hallway in focus. It looks like you're using a wider aperture in shots 2 and 3 (though jpeg compression isn't helping the crispness at all, it could be not as unfocused as it looks). 6 is the strongest out of all of them. It has really nice movement. Nice subject-ground reversals. It's artschool good. It's unfortunate that there's a wall right behind that subject, because it draws your eye back into the space very nicely. For the most part they're all well exposed and the thing to work on I think would be approach to composition. Try to make your shots have purpose? I can't think of anything else right now! Keep workin on it!

| | | Some of them (like 1 and 2) seem a little washed out. Try darkening them a bit then bumping the contrast up.

| | | Ehhhhh, it's more photogenic than Lakeville. There are like four interesting objects to photograph there and everybody has done so.
