Im glad you did like them. This is the first time i am working with borders so i tried to be subtle with them. Didn't want them to take away from the picture. Haha im still totally new to all of this UER stuff so i had to use Microsoft Paint to make the borders!!! Oh yeah, all these pictures were taken with a Sony DSC-T1 camera. edit: i just noticed, but the barrel distortion in the first one is kinda wack. sometimes it takes more than a few days. your first post advertised that you were new to the site and to photography. and that generally attracts my attention. and i assume other people are the same as me but hey you've improved MUCH your last ones were not much fun to look at, but these are far more pleasant. #1 i like that you're using depth of field to only focus on certain areas. when you find better subject matter, try to find ways to apply it. such as: #2 i love the minimalist approach. if you're into this to, you might want to check out a dude on here who goes by robdobi: http://www.uer.ca/...&group=1&display=1he is quite good at that. one of the best, in my opinion. #3. my favorite of the three. the fact that its running makes it neater. you did a good job of finding an interesting subject and framing it. getting better. keep it up.

| | | Thanks alot guys. Yeah i guess i got a little impatient. Maybe i should realize not everyone is on break, lol. But thanks for the replies, thats all i need is some constructive critisism. Thanks to Bear for going in depth on what i did right and what i can improve. Thanks to flammable too. But to flammable: What do you personally think i could do to make pictures like #1 and #2 better? Bear gave me his ideas, just curious to what yours are.

| | | for both of them, I would pick the camera of the ground and shoot, maybe try and focus on the rake in the background of #1, and #2 I would try and shoot that plant at a lot of different angles.

1. Its what it looks like. A wall with a window, and a rake in the corner. 2. Next time i take pics of this i think ill take your advice and try the technique i used in number one but focus on the plant/weed thing. 3. I tried to have it on full blast but it just looked plain corny. Ill try to get my pics more clear next time. Thanks a lot for all of your comments. Theyre appreciated much.

| | | 1. Bad focus point and DoF. 2. Boring. Get closer to the subject (or even better, pick an interesting subject!). 3) It's a faucet. I am contemplating the faucet... and... yup... just a faucet.
i have never taken a photograph in my life exploring should be done at home, where it's safe |

| | | before posting here, what you should do is take lots of photos until you are comfortable with your camera. then take more. then post only the best ones here. these are snapshots, and not worthy of critique. do you have some decent ideas? certainly. but now you have to learn how to execute them. learn the basic rules of composition, learn when to transcend those rules, and learn how to fuck with your camera until you can achieve the exposure and DOF results you want. then come back to us.
