Wtf, why would anyone get shot?

well lets see....breaking and entering into a public municipal at night... cops and guards usually carry guns... i think you can figure out where this is going.
One day I am going to New Zealand and I will walk the path from the Shire to Mordor and scale mt. doom. |

Nope I can't because they wouldn't shoot you. You wouldn't get shot unless you start running at them with weapons and obvious intent to harm, even then they would have enough restraint to not shoot at least right away. Trust me on this one, if you're caught trespassing in that place, cops are not going to go GTA on you. They might arrest you, and slap some charges because of the importance of the building though.

| | | If it deals with sewage, and is not manned, you might as well go in. I dunno about the US/Canada, but over here getting caught is a sewage works isn't all that bad. Its just "what the hell are you doing in here? Get out, and don't come back". The larger sewage works are actually quite interesting, and have been the subject of some of my best photographs. Most people don't really have much of an idea how a sewage works operates (and I should imagine most people don't really want to know), but for those who how things work, sewage works can really be quite informative. Make sure you don't cut the fence though, or touch ANY of the controls in there, cos if you get caught haveing done either of those things, your gonna be (to use a sewage works related phrase) in deep shit.

Good point. It could be a sewage treatment plant. Mindhacker also mentioned the same. Cutting fences is a bad idea. If it is a drinking water facility and your visit is detected, Homeland Security will be involved, take over, or handled it from start to finish. The FBI still makes house calls. Avoid. -The hurt locker; easy to get into, hard to get out of-
