|  | | | I don't know if this has ever happened to you guys but when I first saw these photos I took in my friend's dead grandmother's house out in Texas I absolutely hated them. I was using what ever film I had on me at the time which was Kodak ISO 800 (terribly crappy). I got them developed at an equally crappy one hour photo lab in an H-E-B grocery store.
After not seeing them for over a year, now I really like them. Despite the lines running through them (due to the poor scanning quality) I think the low saturation and grainy-ness fits the mood of the local. I'm going to rescan them and see what they really look like. But for now this what the one hour lab gave me.

It's funny how pictures seem more precious the older you get. The second picture reminds me of Andrew Wyeth for some reason.
